Install Servelo on Your Phone
Servelo is a Progressive Web App. Add it to your home screen and it opens full-screen like a native app, with the Servelo shield icon, and keeps you signed in between opens.
iPhone & iPad (Safari)
Follow these steps in order. The order matters. iOS stores Safari's sign-in separately from the home-screen app, so you have to sign in after installing, not before.
- Open Safari and go to
https://serveloapp.com. - Tap the Sign in link in the top-right corner. The page changes to a dark login screen and the address bar should now show
serveloapp.com/login. Stop here. Do not type your email or sign in yet. - Open the Share menu. On newer iOS, the bottom toolbar shows a โขโขโข (three dots) button on the right. Tap it, then tap Share. On older iOS, tap the Share icon (square with an up arrow) directly in the bottom toolbar.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Very important. Check the "Open as web app" toggle. On iOS 16.4 and later, the Add to Home Screen sheet has an Open as web app switch just below the name field. Make sure it is turned ON (green). If it's off, the home-screen icon will open the marketing site in a regular Safari tab instead of launching Servelo as an app.
- Confirm the name shows "Servelo" and tap Add in the top-right.
- Close Safari completely. Go to your home screen and tap the new Servelo icon. It should open full-screen with no Safari address bar visible.
- Sign in from the app. Enter your Organization ID and sign in with your method of choice. From now on, closing and reopening the app keeps you signed in for 30 days.
- Allow notifications when asked. Shortly after your first sign-in the app will prompt for permission to send notifications. Tap Allow. This is how Servelo alerts you about new tickets, chat messages, and reminders when the app is closed. On iOS, notifications only work if you tap Allow here and only for apps installed to the home screen on iOS 16.4 or later.
If something looks wrong
- "I see a blue square with just an S". Your phone cached the old icon. Delete the home-screen shortcut, quit Safari (double-tap home / swipe up), then in Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data search for "servelo" and remove the entry. Redo the steps above.
- "It asks me to sign in every single time". You signed in via Safari before adding to home screen. Delete the icon, redo the steps, and sign in for the first time after tapping the home-screen icon (step 8 above), not in Safari.
- "I'm in a private tab". iOS will not let you add a private tab to the home screen, and any sign-in you do in a private tab is erased on close. Use a normal Safari tab.
- "The icon opens the marketing site in Safari". The Open as web app toggle was off when you added it. iOS then treats the icon as a plain bookmark, not a PWA. Delete the icon, redo the steps, and this time verify the toggle shows green before tapping Add.
- "I tapped Don't Allow on notifications and now I don't get any". Open Settings → Notifications, find Servelo in the list, and turn Allow Notifications on. Then reopen the app so it can re-subscribe. If Servelo isn't in the Notifications list at all, you're on iOS older than 16.4 and PWA notifications are not supported on that version.
Android (Chrome)
- Open Chrome and go to
https://serveloapp.com. - Tap Sign in to reach the login page.
- Chrome will usually show an Install Servelo banner near the URL bar. Tap it. If you don't see the banner, tap the three-dot menu and choose Install app (or Add to Home screen).
- Open Servelo from the new home-screen icon and sign in once. Android stores your session for 30 days.
- When Chrome asks for notification permission, tap Allow. Servelo uses notifications for new tickets, chat messages, and reminders when the app is closed.
Mac (Safari 17+)
- Open Safari on macOS Sonoma or later and go to
https://serveloapp.com/login. - From the menu bar choose File → Add to Dock.
- Servelo now lives in your Dock and Launchpad and opens in its own window.
Windows & Linux (Chrome, Edge)
- Open
https://serveloapp.com/login. - Click the install icon in the address bar (small computer with a down arrow), or open the three-dot menu and choose Install Servelo.
- The installed app pins to your Start menu / taskbar.
How long does sign-in last?
After you sign in inside the installed app, Servelo issues a refresh token that's valid for 30 days. As long as you open the app at least once every 30 days, you'll stay signed in. If you don't open it for 30+ days, it will ask you to sign in again on the next open.
Changing your password does not automatically sign out existing sessions. Use My Account → Security → Sign out everywhere for that.
Removing the app
Press and hold the home-screen icon and tap Remove Bookmark (iOS) or Uninstall (Android). Nothing is lost. You can always re-add it by visiting serveloapp.com again.
